Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 56 year-old Pascual  Cruz was convicted, as charged, after a jury trial of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and Criminal Use of a Firearm in the First Degree before Supreme Court Justice Christopher Burns. 

Cruz’s convictions stem from the August 26, 2011 shooting of 39 year old Dennis Reiber at 1803 South Park in Buffalo.  For these convictions Cruz can receive a maximum prison term of 25 years when he is sentenced before the Hon. Christopher Burns on August 30, 2012 at 9:30 a.m.  The case was tried by Sr. Trial Counsel Christopher J. Belling and Assistant District Attorney Vanessa S. Guite.
