Driving Drunk in Orchard Park Leads to Conviction of Buffalo Man

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 38 year old John Jankowiak of 54 Ryan Street, Buffalo, pleaded guilty, as charged, to misdemeanor Driving While Intoxicated and Unsafe Turn before Orchard Park Town Justice Lynn Wessel Keane. These are the highest charges for which Jankowiak could have been convicted had he gone to trial. 

Jankowiak admitted that on October 19, 2013 at 4:00 a.m. on Milestrip and Rt. 219, after leaving Jack Devine’s Bar, he operated his motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition. 

The case was successfully prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Bethany A. Solek of DA Sedita’s Vehicular Crimes Bureau.

Jankowiak faces a maximum jail sentence of 1 year or 3 years probation when he is sentenced on January 23, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. before Justice Keane.
