Jury Convicts Man of Robbery; Faces 25 Years in Prison

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced today that 23 year-old Derrick Mallory was convicted, as charged, after a jury trial of Robbery in the First Degree and Robbery in the Second Degree before Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller.

Mallory’s convictions stem from the September 27, 2011 gunpoint robbery of 46 year old Journey Cooper on Minnesota Avenue in Buffalo.  For these convictions Mallory can receive a maximum prison term of 25 years when he is sentenced before the Hon. M. William Boller on September 17, 2012 at 9:30 a.m.  The case was tried by Assistant District Attorney Paul J. Williams, III.
