Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced today that 40 year-old John Black was convicted as charged after a jury trial of Two Counts of Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child, two counts of Incest in the First Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child before the Acting Supreme Court Justice John L. Michalski. 

Black’s convictions stem from his repeated acts of anal sodomy against an 8 year old child.  For these convictions Black can receive a maximum prison term of 50 years to life when he is sentenced before the Hon. John Michalski on June 21, 2012 at 9:30 a.m.  Black has been remanded pending sentence. 

The case was tried by Rosanne E. Johnson, Chief of the Special Victims Bureau and Peter J. Marche, Assistant District Attorney.
