Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 17 year old Brandon Jones of 283 Langfield Avenue, Buffalo, pleaded, to Attempted Burglary in the Second Degree, Attempted Robbery in the First Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.  The pleas come after an extensive investigation by the Buffalo Police Department and the Erie County District Attorney’s Office.  

Jones admitted that on May 8, 2012 he broke into an East Sidehome to steal the homeowner’s property.  Jones was apprehended after analysis of fingerprints recovered at the scene of the crime matched the defendant.  Jones faces a maximum prison sentence of 7 years with respect to that charge when he is sentenced on November 28, 2012 before Supreme Court Justice Penny M. Wolfgang.

Jones admitted that on May 30, 2012 he stole a 1992 GMC Sierra at gunpoint from James King Jr. and Brittany Smith.  Jones faces a maximum prison sentence of 15 years with respect to that charge when he is sentenced on November 28, 2012 before Supreme Court Justice Penny M. Wolfgang.

Jones admitted that on August 23, 2012, he possessed a loaded and operable shortened shotgun.  Jones faces a maximum prison sentence of 15 years with respect to that charge when he is sentenced on November 28, 2012 before Erie County Judge Thomas P. Franczyk.
