Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 52 year old Mark Detlef of 2522 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, pleaded guilty, as charged, before Supreme Court Justice John L. Michalski to Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree.  This is the highest charge for which Detlef could have been convicted of had he gone to trial.

Detlef admitted that on August 29, 2011 he intentionally drove his motor vehicle into Station No. 1 of the Main Transit Fire Department, 6777 Main Street, Williamsville, causing extensive damage to support structures for the building, glass bay doors, heavy rescue trucks and a pumper truck, which required over $500,000 in repairs.

Detlef faces a maximum prison sentence of 2-1/3 to 7 years in prison when he is sentenced on April 9, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. before the Hon. John L. Michalski.  The case was prosecuted by ADA Paul J. Glascott.
