Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 43-year-old Blaine Boyer of Buffalo pleaded guilty, as charged, before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case to one count of Rape in the Second Degree, a Class “D” felony.

The defendant admitted that he engaged in sexual intercourse with a victim, who was incapable of consent by reason of being mentally disabled, at a location in the City of Buffalo on June 22, 2019.

Boyer faces a maximum of 7 years in prison when he is sentenced on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. He was remanded without bail.

DA Flynn commends Detective Nicole Wrazen of the Buffalo Police Department Special Victims Unit for her work in the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Katharine S. Lavin of the DA’s Special Victims Unit.
