Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 34-year-old Frankie M. Hancock of Buffalo was arraigned last week before Erie County Court Judge Suzanne Maxwell Barnes on an indictment charging him with the following offenses:
- One count of Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child (Class “A-II” felony)
- One count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree (Class “B” felony)
- One count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the Second Degree (Class “D” felony)
It is alleged that between March 1, 2017 and February 1, 2019, the defendant engaged in two or more acts of sexual conduct, including sexual intercourse, with a victim who was less than 10 years old. It is further alleged that during the same time period, the defendant engaged in two or more acts of sexual conduct with a second victim who was less than 9-years-old.
An indictment warrant was issued for the defendant’s arrest in April 2021. He was located last month as the result of a traffic stop in Florida and was extradited back to Western New York. He was held without bail at his arraignment on June 2, 2021.
If convicted on all charges, Hancock faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison.
A return court date has not been scheduled at this time.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Rebecca L. Schnirel of the Domestic Violence/Special Victims Bureau.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
