Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 36-year-old Cabe Cabe of Buffalo was sentenced this morning before Erie County Court Judge James Bargnesi to a conditional discharge.

The defendant admitted to submitting a forged New York State pistol permit application on September 27, 2019. An investigation uncovered that the defendant falsified the signatures of multiple references on the application.

Cabe pleaded guilty to one count of Forgery in the Third Degree (Class “A” misdemeanor) on March 30, 2021.

DA Flynn also commends the Erie County Clerk’s Office, Erie County Sheriff’s Office and DA’s Office Confidential Criminal Investigator Natalie Perez for their work in the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Brian P. Dassero of the DA’s Special Investigations and Prosecutions (SIP) Bureau.
