Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 37-year-old Breanna B. Rohauer of Forestville was sentenced yesterday morning before State Supreme Court Justice Paul B. Wojtaszek to 30 days in jail followed by 5 years of probation.

The defendant, while employed at a local bank in the Town of Hamburg, admitted to making numerous unauthorized withdrawals from the bank accounts of several elderly customers. The defendant stole a total of $124,736.00 through fraudulent transactions between November 17, 2017 and February 4, 2019. The victims were reimbursed by the bank.

The defendant, who has not re-paid any of the stolen money to the bank, was ordered to pay the full restitution amount of $124,736.00.

DA Flynn commends Detective Howard Widman of the Town of Hamburg Police Department for his work in this investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Chief Candance K. Vogel of the Special Investigations and Prosecutions Unit.
