Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 20-year-old Isaaiah Rogers of Buffalo has been sentenced by Erie County Court Judge James Bargnesi to 25 years in prison followed by 5 years of post-release supervision.

On June 12, 2017, at approximately 11:45 p.m., the defendant fatally shot 25-year-old Calvin Williams of Buffalo on Pries Avenue in the City of Buffalo.

Rogers pleaded guilty to one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree in November 2018.

DA Flynn commends the investigative work of the Buffalo Police Department Homicide Squad including, Detective Sgt. Carl Lundin and Detectives Patricia Wrest and Brendan Kiefer.

The case was prosecuted by Colleen Curtin Gable, Chief of the DA’s Homicide Bureau, former Assistant District Attorney Michael D. Smith of the DA’s Homicide Bureau, and Assistant District Attorney Danielle E. Phillips of the DA’s Felony Trials Bureau.
