Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 24-year-old Korron J. Brown of Buffalo was virtually sentenced this afternoon before State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to a determinate sentence of 9 years in prison followed by 5 years of post-release supervision. He was sentenced today as a second violent felony offender.

On July 23, 2019, at approximately 12:50 a.m., the defendant fired multiple shots from an illegal pistol on East Ferry Street near Fillmore Avenue. Several bullets hit the Buffalo Police Department C-District station house.

Brown pleaded guilty to one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (Class “C” violent felony) on December 8, 2020.

DA Flynn commends the Buffalo Police Department C-District officers for their work in the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney John P. Gerken, Jr. of the DA’s Tactical Prosecution Unit.
