Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 54 year old James Fountain was arraigned at 9:30 this morning before Supreme Court Justice Penny M. Wolfgang on a sealed indictment charging him with Murder in the Second Degree. 

It is alleged that on or about June 30, 1994, at 142 Montana Street, Buffalo, Fountain murdered 29 year old Cynthia Epps of 25 Colfax Street, Buffalo, by stabbing her. 

If convicted of this crime Fountain faces a maximum prison sentence of 25 years to life.
