Three Teens Charged in Rape and Sodomy of Teenage Girl

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announces that 18 year-old Daqwan Morris of 123 Zelmer Street in the City of Buffalo, 17 year-old Shameek Young of 52 Hazelwood Ave in the City of Buffalo, and 17 year-old Paul Brown of 37 Kermit Ave. in the City of Buffalo, were arraigned this morning before County Court Judge Kenneth F. Case on an indictment charging them with, respectively: Rape in the First Degree and Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree (Morris); two counts of Rape in the First Degree and three Counts of Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree (Young); and, Rape in the First Degree (Brown).

It is alleged that on May 20, 2014, the defendants repeatedly raped and sodomized a teenage girl over an approximate two-hour time span.

If convicted, each defendant faces a maximum prison sentence of 25 years for each count of the indictment. Bail for each defendant was set at $50,000 cash or bond.

Like every citizen accused of a crime, the defendants are presumed innocent until their guilt is proven in a court of law.
