Treasurer of Elementary School PTO Pleads Guilty to Attempted Grand Larceny

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 41 year old Susan Jablonski, formerly a schoolteacher at Cayuga Heights Elementary School in Depew, pleaded guilty to Attempted Grand Larceny in the Third Degree before County Court Judge Thomas P. Franczyk. 

Jablonski admitted that while serving as the Treasurer of the Cayuga Heights Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization from 2008 to 2010, she stole approximately $17,284 by making unauthorized withdrawals from the PTO’s bank account to pay her personal expenses

This matter was brought to the attention of the Erie County District Attorney’s Office by the Depew School District, which assisted with the investigation. 

Sentencing is scheduled for January 28, 2013, at 9:30 p.m. before the Hon. Thomas P. Franczyk when Jablonski faces a maximum prison sentence of 1-1/3 to 4 years.
