Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announces that 46 year- old Kim Pietrzak of 62 Fairelm Lane in Cheektowaga was arraigned this morning before the Hon. Russell P. Buscaglia on a 28 count sealed indictment alleging multiple counts of Grand Larceny, Forgery, and Falsification of Business Records.

It is alleged that Pietrzak stole approximately $49,836.46 from Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish between May 18, 2010 and October 23, 2012 in the form of bingo cash proceeds and that she camouflaged these thefts through what is known as a “check substitution scheme”.  It is also alleged that Pietrzak stole over $1,000 from this parish by placing personal purchases on a parish credit card.  If convicted, Pietrzak could face a statutory maximum sentence of 50 years in state prison.

Like all defendants accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
