ERIE COUNTY, NY— Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz has announced that Erie County, in cooperation with the Northeast Southtowns Solid Waste Management Board, will hold a Household Hazardous Waste Drop off Day on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Erie Community College South Campus in Orchard Park, NY. The event is open to all Erie County residents, and wastes will be accepted from 9:00AM – 2:00PM. Participants should enter the ECC Campus from the Big Tree Road (Rte. 20A) entrance, and must certify that their hazardous waste was household-generated.

“As we saw last month, residents are eager to protect the environment and their homes by participating in these events. The drop off runs from 9 to 2 on Saturday, with big crowds expected early, so I would encourage participants to consider arriving a bit later in the event in order to ensure the most timely and efficient disposal for their waste,” said Poloncarz. “This is a vital service and everyone wants to keep it operating as smoothly as possible.”
