56% OF ELIGIBLE ERIE COUNTY RESIDENTS HAVE RECEIVED AT LEAST ONE DOSE OF COVID-19 VACCINE 

As of April 22, 46% of Erie County residents have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, while 33% percent have completed the COVID-19 vaccine series.

ERIE COUNTY, NY – The Erie County Department of Health (ECDOH) is providing an update with COVID-19 case investigation findings, information about variants of concern, and COVID-19 vaccinations administered to date.

Based on information provided by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH). As of April 22, 46% of Erie County residents have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, while 33% percent have completed the COVID-19 vaccine series.

56% of eligible Erie County residents ages 16 and older+ have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 41% of eligible Erie County residents age 16 and older have completed the COVID-19 dose series.

Through April 22, ECDOH administered 60,118 first doses and 45,482 second doses at county-run PODs (points of distribution). This includes first-doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered at SUNY ECC South, SUNY ECC North, KeyBank Center, Southside Elementary in Buffalo and Daemen College. ECDOH has an active schedule of pop-up sites planned through the end of April and in to May. A full schedule will be updated at www.erie.gov/covid19/vaccine. Appointments are strongly encouraged at all ECDOH PODs, and registration reduces wait times. Call (716) 858-2929 to schedule. Walk-ins can be accommodated at most sites.
