ERIE COUNTY UPDATE - April 1, evening

ERIE COUNTY, NY – The Erie County Department of Health is making the following announcements. As of today (Wednesday, April 1) we have received reports of 582 lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases among Erie County residents. There have been 12 deaths attributable to COVID-19 since the first reported death on March 24. The most recent death was a male who is in the age 80 and above category.

The following is a breakdown of deaths by gender and age as of 5p.m. today (Wednesday, April 1.)

Age 40 to 49: one female

Age 60 to 69: two males

Age 70 to 79: two males, one female

Age 80 and above: four males, two females

We will not be releasing any other information about the most recent death or any previous cases involving deceased individuals.
