AT-HOME COVID-19 TESTS AND MASKS PROVIDED BY ERIE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

Non-profits, houses of worship, youth programs, block clubs and similar groups can place orders through an online form; individuals can pick up test kits at dozens of municipal sites

ERIE COUNTY, NY— The Erie County Department of Health (ECDOH) reminds community organizations serving Erie County residents that at-home COVID tests, disinfectant wipes and non-surgical face masks (PPE) are available for ordering at no cost.

An order form on the ECDOH web site asks for contact information, quantities, and a brief description of how and where the supplies will be used. Organizations will be contacted with instructions on how and where to pick up the items once their order is ready.

ECDOH has also provided free at-home COVID-19 tests in partnership with city, town and village emergency managers. See a list of locations, times and contact information on the ECDOH web site. These will be restocked on request and as supplies are available.

“The federal government suspended its at-home COVID-19 test ordering program for households, which took away another convenient and free option for those tests,” said Commissioner of Health Dr. Gale Burstein. “We are making COVID-19 tests available through municipalities and community groups as another way to get them directly into the hands of people who can use them.”

Erie County residents who attend ECDOH community outreach activities, COVID-19 vaccine clinics and COVID-19 test sites can pick up PPE for their households as well.
