NEARLY 17 PERCENT OF ERIE COUNTY RESIDENTS HAVE RECEIVED AT LEAST ONE DOSE OF COVID-19 VACCINE
ERIE COUNTY, NY – The Erie County Department of Health (ECDOH) is providing an update on the number of COVID-19 vaccinations administered to Erie County residents based on information provided by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH). 16.8% of Erie County residents have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, while 9.9% percent have completed the COVID-19 vaccine series.
The NYSDOH Vaccine Tracker data through March 4 reports that the Western New York region administered 93% of received vaccine doses through county, state, nursing home, hospital, pharmacy, and community sites. Through March 4, ECDOH administered 28,841 first doses and 19,276 second doses at county-run PODs (points of distribution).
