The Rapid Evaluation Appropriate Placement (REAP) Initiative is a revolutionary policing program aimed at getting addicts the help they need, instead of putting them in handcuffs. If an addict comes to the police and asks for help, they will be paired with a volunteer “Angel” who will help guide them through the process. If you have drugs or drug paraphernalia on you, we will dispose of it for you. You will not be arrested. You will not be charged with a crime. You will not be jailed.

The Erie County Opioid Epidemic Task Force partners with all of the organizations and groups in Erie County that touch opioid addiction and treatment and can easily connect addicts with the treatment they need to get well.
