As of March 20, 2020, HEAP has suspended in-person assistance in response to the COVID-19 emergency.

  • If you do not have utility service, have a disconnect notice, or need assistance with a broken furnace, you may call our HEAP call center for assistance at 716-858-7644 and a customer service representative will assist you.
  • If you are not in an emergency utility situation, you may apply for HEAP on line at www.mybenefits.ny.gov. or you may apply by mail. 
  • HEAP applications are available for printing at www.erie.gov. 
  • You may also request that a HEAP application be mailed to you by calling our HEAP application hotline at 716-858-1969. Thank you.
