Legislator Lorigo presents proclamation to Queen of Heaven students for taking stand against bullying

Erie County Legislator Joseph Lorigo applauds the efforts of Queen of Heaven School’s faculty and students for taking a stand against bullying during October – National Anti-Bullying Awareness Month. During an assembly held Oct. 2, 2015 at the school, Legislator Lorigo presented a proclamation recognizing National Anti-Bullying Awareness Month and congratulating Queen of Heaven on its efforts to combat all forms of bullying.

“It is great to see students taking a stand against bullying and applying what they have been taught in their everyday lives. Queen of Heaven is going above and beyond to ensure that steps are being taken to stop bullying in their school. I was honored to join Queen of Heaven to kick off National Anti-Bullying Awareness Month and let the students know their efforts are being noticed and appreciated by the Erie County Legislature. We must work together as a community to prevent and stop bullying in our schools,” said Legislator Lorigo.

Queen of Heaven is marking National Anti-Bullying Awareness Month with its first Run, Walk and Roll Against Bullying 5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk, being held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10 in conjunction with a national effort to promote anti-bullying measures in schools and the community.
