Erie County Legislator Joe Lorigo recently announced a contract Erie County has entered into with Buffalo Homecare Inc. to vaccinate homebound residents in Erie County.

Buffalo Homecare is a licensed homecare agency which provides various services to homebound residents; they are also an authorized COVID-19 vaccinator by New York State.

The contract between Erie County and Buffalo Homecare will be fully funded by federal dollars with no county share expense.

Legislator Lorigo said, “Our homebound neighbors deserve a fair shot at receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. If someone is unable to leave their home, they shouldn’t have to deal with the stress of trying to locate a vaccine or finding a way to a site. This contract will help alleviate the burden on homebound residents throughout Erie County and I am proud to support that.”

Anyone with questions should contact the Erie County’s COVID information line at (716) 858-2929.

Additional information on the contract can be found here.
