LEGISLATOR MILLS ANNOUNCES STATE AID FOR SNOWMOBILE TRAIL MAINTENANCE IN ERIE COUNTY

Erie County Legislator John Mills has secured $185,532.00 in state aid from the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation to be used on snowmobile trail maintenance in Erie County.  The funding is to be used for the 2020-2021 snowmobile season.

The agreement with the State pertains to maintenance performed by individual Snowmobile Clubs of Erie County on club trails located outside County-owned lands as well as on trails located in Erie County Parks and Forestry lots.

Club trails receiving funding include:

  • Colden Trail Riders Inc. $19,716

  • Eden Trail Blazers Inc. $10,752

  • Grand Island Snowmobile Club Inc. $5,712

  • Hamburg Snowmobile Club Inc. $21,108

  • Holland Sno-Rascals Inc. $28,320

  • Marilla Sno-Mob Inc. $14,568

  • Northern Erie SnoSeekers Inc. $20,496

  • Pioneer Sno-Surfers Inc. $15,108

  • Southern Tier Snowdrifters Inc. $21,132

  • WNY Snowmobile Club of Boston Inc. $28,620

Legislator Mills said, “This funding will help my district considerably. I am overjoyed to know that the trails will be properly taken care of for all to enjoy on those snowy winter days. There are so many great spots in Western New York to take advantage of and I urge everyone in my district to get out there and explore the great outdoors.”
