Erie County Legislator John Mills recently honored Shanor Electric Supplies LLC on its grand reopening of the Shanor Lighting Center and Showroom in Orchard Park.

Shanor Electric Supply was an electrical distributor and lighting supplier that was originally founded in 1958 by the Shanor Family with two employees and one, small location. By 1991, the business experienced great success and expanded to three locations in Orchard Park, Buffalo and Amherst.

In December 2020, Shanor Electric Supply was acquired by NOCO and has since been known as Shanor Electric Supplies LLC with 41 employees and two locations in Kenmore and Orchard Park.

Legislator Mills said, “It is great to see businesses like Shanor Electric Supplies LLC grow from the ground up into such a success. Thank you to owner Jim Newman for carrying on the Shanor family legacy and I wish you nothing but additional success in the years to come.”
