Erie County Legislator John Mills recently presented a proclamation to Joanne Ely who is the recipient of the Springville Area Chamber of Commerce 2021 President’s Award.

Joanne Ely has worked at M&T Bank for the past 28 years—beginning her career as a part-time teller and continuing to work while she pursued a teaching degree. In addition, she taught Sunday School, volunteered on several local boards and was active in participating in her children’s extracurriculars.

Ms. Ely was quickly noticed for her hard work and the various skills she possessed and was promoted several times within M&T Bank and is currently the Vice President, Senior Branch Manager for M&T’s Springville branch.
