Erie County Legislator John Mills recently sponsored a proclamation to lifelong Village of Springville resident Dennis Cobo. Cobo has dedicated his life to serving others; he joined the Springville Volunteer Fire Department in 1978 and has since served faithfully for 42 years.

Mr. Cobo served as truck captain for over 30 years in addition to serving on several fire department committees including truck committee, building committee, property & grounds committee and maintenance committee—all among other responsibilities.

Legislator Mills said, “Dennis Cobo has touched a countless amount of lives; he is known by members of the fire department as being a great influence and always around to help accomplish a task, he is known by the community for his dedication and commitment to serving others and he is known to his family as a devoted husband, a loving father to his children as well as grand and great grandchildren. Thank you, Mr. Cobo for everything you have done throughout your lifetime to help make our community a better, safer place.”
