Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports deputies responded to Clinton and Four Rod Roads in Marilla today at approximately 9:30 A.M. to investigate a motor vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, deputies located the accident, which involved three pick-up trucks.  As they continued the investigation it was determined a vehicle traveling north on Four Rod Road failed to yield to vehicles on Clinton Street and was struck by a vehicle traveling east before being struck by a vehicle traveling west.

The vehicles had four occupants, two of which were transported by Mercy Flight and one by ambulance to the Erie County Medical Center.  The fourth occupant, Bruce Capell of Wales was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sheriff's Office Crash Investigation Unit responded to the scene and the investigation is continuing.
