Second Arrest of Drug Dealer Following Overdose Death 

Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the Detective Bureau and the Narcotics Unit collaborated on investigations which led the Sheriff’s office to arrest Miguel Parrilla, 29, of Buffalo. 

Through information gathered from multiple sources following an overdose death in Grand Island, Detectives and Narcotics Unit members arrested Parilla in Grand Island.  The Sheriff’s office discovered over five ounces of heroin, a felony weight of crack cocaine, marijuana, and approximately 100 Xanax pills.  Investigators also found a scale with drug residue, drug cutting agents, and plastic baggies. 

On March 22 Parrilla was charged with an A2 felony for criminal possession of  a controlled substance, a felony count of criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell, and a felony count of criminal possession of a narcotic drug.  The subject is also charged with a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance and a violation for possessing a controlled substance not in its original substance. 

During processing the Sheriff’s office learned that Parrilla was out on bail for a drug related arrest in the City of Buffalo.  Parrilla remains in the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment in Grand Island Town Court.
