Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard announces two separate drug arrests during traffic stops.

 

April 20, Town of Sardinia – at approximately 7:50 P.M., Deputies stopped a vehicle on Creek Road after observing the vehicle swerve in and out of the lane.  During the investigation, it was discovered that 25-year-old Jacob Schweickert of Arcade was operating the vehicle with a suspended license.  When Schweickert was taken into custody, he stated that he had drugs secreted in his sock; a bag of crack cocaine was discovered. 

 

The defendant is charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle as well as a vehicle and traffic law infraction.  After processing, Schweickert was released on appearance tickets.

 

April 21, Town of Collins – at approximately 2:10 A.M., a Deputy initiated a traffic stop at Brown Street and Kerr Warner Road for vehicle and traffic law violations.  An investigation discovered numerous bags of methamphetamines in different locations throughout the vehicle as well as marijuana and various drug paraphernalia.

 

Arrested were 33-year-old Kristin Martin of Springville and 33-year-old Kacey Klein of Collins.

 

Martin is charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia along with a vehicle and traffic law violation.

Klein is charged with a felony count of concealing evidence and three misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

 

Both defendants were taken to the Erie County Holding Center where Klein remains on $5,000.00 bail, and Martin was released.
