Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro is encouraging residents and churches throughout Erie County to participate in ‘Ring for Remembrance’ honoring veterans this Memorial Day.

The idea started with Dawn Gaczewski, owner of AdWorks in Lancaster, who is asking everyone in Erie County to ring bells at 9 a.m. Monday, May 25th for ten minutes to honor veterans and remember those who lost their lives serving our country. Legislator Todaro is hoping to help spread the word.

Legislator Todaro said, “This is a great way to honor our veterans since we are unable to participate in in-person Memorial Day traditions. Those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country must not be forgotten. I thank Dawn for moving this idea forward, and I hope churches and residents across Erie County will join in on this great cause!”
