Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro

Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro recently honored six Alden Hook & Ladder Company Firefighters who are celebrating 50 years of service with the department. Legislator Todaro presented Robert Holtz, Ralph Airey, Thomas Czechowski, Roger Mueller, James Uebelhoer and Leo Wagner with proclamations to honor them for their service.

In 1950, the Alden Hook & Ladder Company was established serving the Village of Alden. The Company is presently has 50 plus members led by a Fire Chief and three Assistant Chiefs. The Company operates three pumpers, a 75’ aerial pumper, one rescue truck, two ambulances and a water rescue truck complete with a 15’ rescue boat and trailer.

Alden Hook & Ladder Fire Company is active in the community by hosting chicken barbeques, sportsman raffles, participating in the Alden Farmers Market and much more.

Legislator Todaro said, “I am incredibly impressed by Robert Holtz, Ralph Airey, Thomas Czechowski, Roger Mueller, James Uebelhoer and Leo Wagner who have dedicated 50 years of their lives to the Alden Hook & Ladder Company.
