Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro

Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro recently named April 7th, 2021 as Lilly Belle Meads and TIL Brewing Day in Erie County to highlight and celebrate the contributions of breweries and beverage stores throughout the county.

April 7th is the date when the Cullen-Harrison Act went into effect in 1933 which made the manufacturing, buying, selling and consuming beer and wine legal for the first time since Prohibition in 1920—this date, April 7th, coincides with National Beer Day.

TIL Brewing is a small batch brewery in Lancaster which provides a wide range of beer styles from well-crafted, clean traditional styles to new variations that experiment with flavor profiles and ingredients. Co-owner Joseph Marshall and his wife Patricia are also the owners of a farm winery / farm meadery, Lilly Belle Meads at the same location. Legislator Todaro presented Joseph and Patricia with a proclamation recognizing the day.

Legislator Todaro said, “TIL Brewing and Lilly Belle Meads in Lancaster is something you will definitely want to check out. I am proud to say April 7th, 2021 will be forever known as Lilly Belle Meads and TIL Brewing Day in Erie County. Breweries across the United States and right here in Erie County add to the backbone of the economy and to the personality of the local community! Thank you to Joseph Marshall for having me and showing me the ropes of what it takes to run a successful brewery!”
