The Fire Safety Division operates from the Emergency Services Training & Operations Center in Cheektowaga, NY. The Fire Safety Office coordinates the recruitment, training and mutual aid operations of our county's 97 fire departments to assist them in serving the needs of the residents, businesses and visitors to their communities.
What's Happening in Fire Safety
Click on "Training Schedule" tab to see available classes.
"Course Rosters/Schedule" tab is where you'll find the rosters, class schedules, course description, and information you may need prior to the start date.
Use the "Student Training Application" tab to apply for classes.
You will receive an email acknowledging our receipt of your application.
This does not mean you are in the class. Please check the roster periodically to confirm.
Confirmed and Alternate students must report to the first class.
DO NOT FAX APPLICATIONS. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THEM THAT WAY.
*NYS Authorization Letters must be signed and brought to the first class.
Do Not Fax Them.
If you can not attend a course you signed up for, you must notify the Fire Safety Office.
Form EOSB 210.5 Volunteer Firefighter Enhanced Cancer Disability Benefits Program Attestation/ Proof of Benefits form needs to be notarized and mailed back to OFPC before January 1, 2019.
