COMPTROLLER STEFAN MYCHAJLIW RETURNS TO THE VALLEY TO MEET WITH NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK CLUB

At the invitation of the Valley Community Block Club, Comptroller Stefan I. Mychajliw Jr. provided an update on his office at the October 18th, 2018 meeting. Under the leadership of Mike Murphy, Comptroller Mychajliw thanked the Valley Community Block Club for hosting monthly meetings and being active in making the neighborhood a better and safer place to live in the City of Buffalo.  In addition to receiving an update from Comptroller Mychajliw, representatives from the Buffalo Police Department and City of Buffalo Office of Permit and Inspection Services were on hand as well. 

COMPTROLLER MYCHAJLIW MEETS WITH WEST SENECA SENIORS

During the popular West Seneca Senior Center Health Fair, Comptroller Stefan I. Mychajliw Jr. provided his “Senior Fraud Protection Program” to the many seniors that attended. The event allowed taxpayers to discuss concerns they may have and to pick up an information booklet that they can reference at any time to help protect against being victimized by a scammer. Comptroller Mychajliw also provided information about the Whistleblower Hotline where taxpayers can report waste, fraud or abuse of county resources. 

COMPTROLLER, FIRE CHIEF INSPECT CLOSED COUNTY ROAD THAT CREATED HARDSHIP FOR FIRST RESPONDERS

Erie County Comptroller Stefan I. Mychajliw Jr. met with Morton's Corners Fire Company Chief Steve Bugary to examine crumbling county roads in his fire district.  The dilapidated county roadways the Comptroller and Fire Chief inspected were Trevett Road, Zoar Valley Road and Groth Road in the Town of Concord.  Chief Bugary spoke about the hardship the fire company faces when Erie County shut down Trevett Road.  The closure forced emergency responders to use an alternative route, which they say will increase response times for emergency personnel.

Erie County Comptroller Stefan Iwan Mychajliw is the son of Polish and Ukrainian immigrants, the youngest of seven children, who grew up in blue-collar beginnings near the corner of William and Fillmore on the East Side of Buffalo.

The people of Erie County first elected Mychajliw Erie County Comptroller on November 6th, 2012. Husband to Ashley, a social worker, and proud father of Mia Theresa Mychajliw, a student at Cleve Hill.
