The Impaired Driver: From the Arrest to the Test

The Division of Criminal Justice Services, Office of Public Safety is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a course inetitled The Impaired Driver: From the Arrest to the Test.  This course is designed for Prosecutors who are interested in learning about the Impaired Driver arrest process from the detection and pre-screening to the evidential test process.  Continuing legal education credits (CLE) will be offered to attorneys upon request.

Topics to include:

  • DWI Detection
  • Overview of Standardized Field Sobriety Testing
  • Introduction to the new DWI Documentation form
  • Overview of Evidential Breath Testing
  • Common Courtroom Challenges
  • Static Display and Hands-On Use of the Datamaster DMT and Alco-Sensor FST

Although we have planned for a large enrollment, seats are limited.  Therefore, you must receive confirmation on attendance.  Please complete the course application and have it sent no later than one week prior to the start of the course.  

There is no cost to prosecutors to attend this course.  However, each agency sending a participant will be responsible for any cost of lodging and meals if needed.
