Attorney Pleads Guilty to Grand Larceny for Stealing Sales Tax Collected at Business

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 53 year old Attorney Daniel M. Glaser pleaded guilty to Grand Larceny in the Third Degree and Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree, as charged, before County Court Judge Kenneth F. Case. 

Glaser admitted that during the period between June, 2006 and February, 2011, he stole over $82,000 of sales tax he collected at his used car business, Motorsport Buffalo, Inc.  He also possessed a forged license plate.  As a result of the plea, Glaser is automatically disbarred from the practice of law. 

Sentencing is scheduled for January 15, 2013, at 9:30 p.m. before the Hon. Kenneth F. Case when Glaser faces a maximum prison sentence of 14 years.
