Acting District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr. announces that 20 year-old Leonard Robinson, a/k/a POODER, of 84 Alexander Street, Buffalo, was arraigned this morning before Supreme Court Justice Penny M. Wolfgang on an indictment charging him with Murder in the Second Degree, Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree. He was remanded without bail. Robinson’s next court appearance is February 25, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. for a pretrial conference.

The indictment alleges that on November 29, 2015, Robinson murdered 42 year-old Antoin Vance inside of Vance’s home at 302 Purdy Street, Buffalo, by shooting him with an illegal pistol.  Robinson is also accused of shooting and injuring 24 year-old Dominique Jackson.

Robinson ran from the scene and fled to California. Through the efforts of the U.S. Marshals Service and the Buffalo Police Department, Robinson was located in Los Angeles, California, was taken into custody and brought back to Buffalo.

If convicted of these crimes, Robinson faces a maximum prison sentence of 50 years-to-life in state prison.

Like all defendants accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
