Buffalo Man Indicted for Murder in September 23rd Shooting That Killed One and Injured Another

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 22 year old John W. Carney, aka “BJ”, of 83 Girard Place, Buffalo, was arraigned before County Court Judge Thomas P. Franczyk on an indictment charging him with Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.

It is alleged that on September 23, 2012, while outside of Lee’s Lounge, 1261 Fillmore Avenue, Buffalo, Carney fatally shot 20 year old Jeremy Lott of 1256 Fillmore Avenue, Buffalo, and seriously wounded 20 year old Lareecea Love of 857 Northland Avenue, Buffalo. 

If convicted of these crimes Carney faces a maximum prison sentence of 25 years to life.
