05/09/2013

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 25 year old Amber Kwasniewski of 304 Massachusetts Avenue, Buffalo pleaded guilty to four counts of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, as charged, and 59 year old Robert Wozniak of 94 Poinciana Parkway, Cheektowaga pleaded guilty to three counts of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, as charged, before County Court Judge Michael D’Amico.  These are the highest counts for which the defendants could have been convicted had they gone to trial.

Between January 24, 2013 and March 16, 2013, Kwasniewski solicited men for sexual encounters in exchange for money through Quest Chat Line.  Wozniak drove Kwasniewski to the locations of the bargained for rendezvous. Kwasniewski and Wozniak then demanded money from the victims by falsely claiming to be undercover police officers and/or falsely claiming Kwasniewski was a juvenile who intended to file statutory rape charges.

Kwasniewski is a Second Felony Offender because of a prior Attempted Robbery in the Second Degree conviction in 2010.  As such, she faces a maximum prison sentence of 16 years when she is sentenced before Judge D’Amico on June 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.  Wozniak faces a maximum prison sentence of 12 years when he is sentenced before Judge D’Amico on June 6, 2013 at 9:30 a.m.

The case was successfully prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Ashley Morgan Morey.
