Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 20 year old Jesse Buchanan of 329 Woltz Avenue, Buffalo pleaded, as charged, to Robbery in the First Degree and Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree before County Court Judge Kenneth F. Case. These are the highest charges for which Buchanan could have been convicted had he gone to trial.

Buchanan admitted that on November 7, 2011 he robbed a man at gunpoint in the vicinity of East Delavan and Suffolk Streets in Buffalo.  He also admitted that minutes later, he forced a woman to sodomize him, at gunpoint, about a block away from the robbery.  Buchanan was linked to the crimes by DNA evidence.

Buchanan faces a maximum prison sentence of 25 years on each count when he is sentenced on November 7, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. before Judge Case.
