Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr. announces that 47-year-old Rhonda Greco, of Lancaster, was arraigned on an indictment today before State Supreme Court Justice John Michalski.

Greco is charged with one count of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree and ten counts of Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree. The defendant worked in the Accounts Payable Department at the Lancaster Central School District from 2009 through September 2015.

While working there, she used the Lancaster Central School District checking account to pay her personal NYSEG, National Fuel and Verizon Wireless bills a total of ten times from October of 2014 through September 2015.

The total amount of loss of taxpayer money is $3,461.71.

Greco pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on her own recognizance by Justice Michalski.

If convicted, Greco faces a maximum sentence of 2 1/3 to 7 years in prison.
