Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 44-year-old David Moore of Buffalo pleaded guilty as charged before Erie County Court Justice Kenneth F. Case to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance Third Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon Second Degree.

On January 26, 2017, Buffalo Police Department narcotics personnel executed a search warrant at an apartment on Woodlawn Avenue for heroin. During the raid, the defendant was found to be in possession of a loaded gun and large amount of heroin laced with fentanyl. 

The defendant, who has a long history of criminal convictions, faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.

DA Flynn commends Buffalo Police Detectives Bart Adams, Shawn Adams, Sharon Acker, Joseph Cook and Thomas Starkey for their thorough investigation.

Assistant District Attorneys Justin T. Wallens of the DA’s Narcotics Unit and Lauren Silverstein of the Felony Trials Bureau prosecuted the case.
