Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 37-year-old Arthur “Cutty” Lewis of Buffalo pleaded guilty before Erie County Court Judge Michael Pietruszka to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.
On February 25, 2016, the Buffalo Police Department executed a search warrant at the defendant’s home on Crossman Avenue. Inside the house, officers found a large bag containing more than four ounces of cocaine, paraphernalia used in the sale of narcotics, a loaded Glock 9mm pistol and $41,700 in cash.
The defendant has a criminal history. He previously spent 8 years in prison after being convicted of Attempted Assault in the First Degree in 2005.
Lewis faces a minimum of 8 years in prison when he is sentenced on Monday, April 30 at 9:30 a.m. by Judge Pietruszka.
