Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr. announces that 21-year old Brandon Frontuto of Buffalo pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to the charges of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree and two counts of Attempted Burglary in the Third Degree for his involvement in four separate crimes dating back to September 2015.

On September 7, 2015, the defendant burglarized a home in Cheektowaga.

On November 13, 2015, the defendant committed a robbery and shooting at an auto repair shop in Buffalo, injuring one victim.

On November 14, 2015, the defendant burglarized the Pierce Arrow building in Buffalo, stealing tools and other property.

On February 18, 2016, during a traffic stop by Buffalo Police, officers found an illegal shortened shotgun in the defendant’s vehicle. Frontuto has been in custody since this incident.

Frontuto faces a minimum of 18 years in prison when he is sentenced on June 27, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. before Justice Boller.

Acting DA Flaherty commends the investigative work of Buffalo Homicide Detectives Scott Malec and Mark White, Buffalo Police Department Detective Bart Adams and Cheektowaga Police Department Detective James Genson.

Tactical Prosecution Unit Chief Paul C. Parisi and Assistant District Attorney Erin E. Hart prosecuted the case.
