Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 44-year-old David Moore of Buffalo has been sentenced by Erie County Court Justice Kenneth F. Case to a determinate sentence of 5 years in prison followed by 4 years of post-release supervision.

On January 26, 2017, Buffalo Police Department narcotics personnel executed a search warrant at an apartment on Woodlawn Avenue for heroin. During the raid, the defendant was found to be in possession of a loaded gun and large amount of heroin laced with fentanyl. 

In May 2018, Moore pleaded guilty, as charged, to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance Third Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon Second Degree.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Justin T. Wallens of the DA’s Narcotics Unit and Lauren Silverstein of the Felony Trials Bureau.
