Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 32-year-old Michael Queener of 170 Blaine Ave. in the City of Buffalo was sentenced by Erie County Court Justice Thomas P. Franczyk to six years in prison. 

In August, the defendant pleaded guilty to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. 

On December 19, 2016, at 2:50 p.m., Erie County Sheriff’s Office narcotics personnel stopped Queener as he traveled on the Kensington Expressway in the Town of Cheektowaga.  Queener was transporting more than 4 ounces of powder cocaine in his vehicle with an estimated street value of $5000.    

Defendant has a history of criminal convictions including a Robbery in the First Degree conviction from 2004.  

DA Flynn commends Chief Daniel J. Granville and Deputies Adam Imiolo and Benjamin Pisa of the Erie County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit for their thorough investigation. 

Assistant District Attorney Justin T. Wallens of the DA’s Narcotics Unit prosecuted the case.
