Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 39-year-old Aaron Lucas, also known as “B-Wise,” of Buffalo has been sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to a determinate sentence of 14 years in prison followed by 20 years of post-release supervision.
In the Fall of 2015, the defendant admitted to raping two women inside his residence on the 300 block of Busti Avenue in the City of Buffalo. He forced the women to engage in various sexual acts by means of fear and coercion.
The defendant pleaded guilty to two counts of Rape in the First Degree in July 2017. He will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release.
He is also currently serving a sentence that was imposed by Judge Lawrence J. Villardo of the United States District Court, Western District of New York for being a felon in possession of a weapon.
DA Flynn commends the investigative work of former Detective Natalie Perez, now an investigator in the DA’s Office, Detective Judy Walker, Officer Maurice Foster, Officer George Wagner, Officer Jill Halor, and Officer Jeanan Sharpe of the Buffalo Police Department.
DA Flynn also acknowledges District Attorney Criminal Investigator Mary Gugliuzza, Court Resource Coordinator Alicia Tabliago, the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners at Women and Children’s Hospital and District Attorney Victim Advocate Nicole Haffa.
